Introduction of the EMBA advanced study class for the 2nd semester
conducted by GSCAS and UW-Madison School of Business
In the 21 st century, human society has been under the rapid development age of knowledge-based economy. High-tech is growing at very fast speed in the world, which advances the quick adjustment of social economical structure, and promotes the continuous innovations in all kinds of fields. In order to carry out the national innovation stratagem better and meet the demand of high-tech enterprises for high-class management courses, the University of Wisconsin- Madison and the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (GSCAS) offer advanced EMBA Program of technology innovation whose purpose is to foster the advanced management talents who are able to adapt themselves to the global competition under the condition of knowledge economy and hold the strategic thought of international marketing management and the ability of technology innovation, after the EMBA advanced program of the institute-class leaders of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) was built successfully. The program stresses the integration of theory with practical management skills. The goal of the Executive MBA program is to inspire and train already-skilled managers by broadening their experiences, challenging perceptions, and ultimately leading them to even greater success and achievement in the business world. The most excellent faculty assigned adopting both English and Chinese teaching in the program. Its courses accord with international standard EMBA course architecture completely and emphasize technology innovation management and strategic management.
Our EMBA courses are taught by excellent professors from the University of Wisconsin- Madison and our country.
In order to have a effective teaching effort , the Management School of GSCAS and the University of Wisconsin- Madison have designed our curriculum completely.
Among all the ten subjects in the EMBA programs, 6 subjects will be taught by professors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison , they are: Technological Innovation Management, Decision-making and Arts for Leadership, Strategic Management, Project Management, Venture Investment and Working Encouragement, Technologic and Operational Management. The other four subjects are directed by Management School of GSCAS, they are Management, Finance Management, Economics for Management, International Trade and Finance.
Considering the job character of our student and the calendar of the professors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Study Class adopt the concentrating teaching pattern for 4 days every month during 2003.September and 2004.June.(including the weekends).The teacher from American or China will teach one lesson every time, among which are lectures. We will organize the students to visit famous companies and innovation bases. The pattern for examination is mostly papers for homework. After the study, every student hands in a final paper. The grades are proposed by the University of Wisconsin- Madison and the Management School of the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The certificate for graduate will be awarded by the University of Wisconsin- Madison and the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Sciences after you pass all the examinations.
